(CBS12) — Hundreds of people from across the United States and beyond have gathered at the Best Buddies Leadership Conference at Indiana University to celebrate friendship and promote inclusivity in schools and communities. The event, which draws participants from places as far as Tanzania, aims to spread the message of inclusion and kindness.

Best Buddies Serbia hosts annual Friendship Walk on World Down Syndrome Day.
Actress Jamie Brewer, who was cast in four seasons of the Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning series American Horror Story, will be in attendance during the fest. Her recent movie Turnover, which won the Audience Choice award and Best Feature Film for Family at the Idyllwild International Festival of Cinema in March, will kick off the event on May 3.
