Best Buddies was honored to partner with Tottenham Hotspur during the Club’s Summer Tour 2025 in Seoul, Korea, to host an inclusive session for young people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
The session brought together more than 50 participants, who engaged in music, movement, and light sporting activities designed to build confidence, encourage teamwork, and create opportunities for new friendships. Leading the activities was Tottenham Hotspur Club Ambassador and football legend, Ledley King, who inspired participants with his encouragement and presence.
“Meeting Tottenham Hotspur and Ledley King was such a special opportunity for our participants,” shared Hui (Sanghui) Park, Best Buddies Korea Program Leader. “Our mission is to create friendships, leadership opportunities, and pathways for inclusion. Partnering with a globally recognized team like Tottenham Hotspur helps us expand that mission to new audiences in Korea and beyond.” King also spent time with Best Buddies staff to learn more about the organization’s work in Korea and worldwide. “I really enjoyed meeting with Best Buddies today,” he said. “Being able to represent the Club in supporting such an important cause is always a pleasure.”
A Shared Commitment to Inclusion
This event represents more than a moment on tour—it is a powerful demonstration of shared values. Best Buddies’ mission to create opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development, and inclusive living for individuals with IDD aligns with Tottenham Hotspur’s ongoing commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. From accessible stadium facilities to community programs supporting people with disabilities, Tottenham Hotspur and Best Buddies are working hand-in-hand to create more inclusive spaces where everyone belongs.
