Jack Raihall: A Decade of Inclusion
This month marks a special milestone for Jack Raihall, a longtime Best Buddies participant and passionate advocate. Jack and his buddy, Olivia Steckman, are celebrating their one-year match anniversary through the Best Buddies Citizens Program in the Philadelphia area!!!
Jack’s journey with Best Buddies began back in 2012 at West Chester East High School, where he quickly became a dedicated and enthusiastic member of the chapter. From the very beginning, Jack stood out as a leader and a role model for inclusion.
Following high school, Jack continued his commitment at the college level, staying actively involved with both the West Chester University and Villanova University chapters. During this time, he also became a Best Buddies Ambassador, using his voice to promote inclusion and advocate for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As an ambassador, Jack has shared his story with courage and purpose, leaving a lasting impact at events, in schools, and throughout the broader community.
Most recently, in July 2025, Jack attended the Best Buddies Leadership Conference at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. As a participant in the Ambassador Track, Jack refined his public speaking skills, crafted a powerful speech, and collaborated with peers and mentors to further strengthen his advocacy. His dedication and positive energy were felt by everyone in attendance.
In May 2024, Jack joined the Best Buddies Citizens Program in the Philadelphia area, taking the next step in the Best Buddies life cycle. Just a few months later, in August 2024, he was officially matched with his amazing buddy, Olivia Steckman. Brianna Wolfle, Director of Programs and Operations, highlighted: “Jack and Olivia’s friendship truly embodies the heart of Best Buddies. Their connection is genuine, supportive, and loving! Watching their bond grow over the past year has been incredibly inspiring, and it’s a beautiful reminder of the power of inclusion and the lifelong impact of our programs.” Their one-year friendiversary is a wonderful celebration of the power of connection and inclusion through Best Buddies!
Jack’s leadership and involvement extend beyond his chapters and ambassador role. He has spoken at our annual gala, assisted with community outreach events, and regularly tables at local programs to help spread awareness. Whether behind the scenes or on the stage, Jack continues to be one of our strongest voices for friendship, acceptance, and advocacy.
We are truly grateful for Jack Raihall and all of our participants who lead with passion and heart. Jack’s decade-long journey with Best Buddies is a shining example of what our mission is all about, and we look forward to seeing his continued impact for years to come!!
